EnemyMutations

Every monster on Petrichor V can now spawn twisted. Same enemies you know - new versions you don't.

Part of The Petrichor Protocol by Dileppy.

Enemies roll a mutation chance on spawn (12% base, +2% per stage, both configurable). A mutated enemy looks different, fights different, and rewards different.

The launch mutations

Mutation Effect Reward
Giant 175% size, double HP, +30% damage, slower 2x gold/XP
Tiny 50% size, fragile, +50% speed, +25% attack speed 1.3x
Frenzied +50% speed and attack speed, -25% HP 1.4x
Volatile Explodes on death - watch your positioning 1.5x
Treasure Rare. Tanky, dangerous, announced in chat 4x gold/XP

Every mutation has its own enable toggle. Boss and elite mutation gates, Treasure upgrade chance, Volatile blast damage and radius - all configurable.

Design intent

Mini-boss moments without new models. A Giant Beetle is a wall. A Frenzied Lemurian is a problem RIGHT NOW. A Volatile anything makes you think about where you kill it. And when the gold Treasure message appears, you have a decision to make.

The Petrichor Protocol

This mod is part of a modular challenge ecosystem. Install PetrichorProtocol and every Dileppy modifier you run contributes to a Risk Score, a challenge tier, and scaled rewards - announced at the start of every run.

Multiplayer

Mutations are rolled by the host, so the host must run this mod. Singleplayer is the primary supported mode.
