Insanity Mutator
Mutator: every main-objective mission on the astral map generates at Insane difficulty instead of a Normal/Hard/Insane mix. Pilgrimage-type quests only - Survivor runs an entirely separate generator this never touches.

Requires: BepInEx-BepInExPack-5.4.2305, NihilityShift-VoidManager-1.2.11
💡 Function(s)
- Adds an Insanity mutator to the game's own Mutators menu.
- While selected, every main-objective mission on the astral map generates at Insane difficulty instead of the usual Normal / Hard / Insane mix.
- Side objectives keep their normal mixed difficulty.
- Pilgrimage-type quests only. Survivor generates its missions a different way and is not affected.
- Grants +25% run XP while selected, like the game's own mutators.
- Allows an additional mutator to be selected (toggleable from mod menu).
🎮 Client Usage
- In the Hub, open the Mutators menu on the galaxy map and select Insanity before launching a run. Nothing else to configure.
- The F5 menu under Mod Settings → Insanity Mutator shows whether the mutator is registered and currently active, for troubleshooting. It also allows you to turn off the extra allowed mutator.
👥 Multiplayer Functionality
- ✅ Client
- Only the host needs this mod: mission difficulty is decided once by the host when the run is generated, and crewmates receive the result like any normal run.
- Does not mark the session as modded: progression and achievements stay enabled with Insanity selected.
🔧 Install Instructions - Install following the normal BepInEx procedure.
Ensure that you have BepInEx 5 (stable version 5 MONO) and VoidManager installed.
✔️ Mod installation - Unzip the contents into the BepInEx plugin directory
Drag and drop Insanity.dll into Void Crew\BepInEx\plugins, or install through r2modman / Gale.
