Base Wisps

Base Wisps

These look after your home. All five can also work from a Wisp Anchor (see Wisp Anchor and Bastion).

A few rules they all share:

  • The Stoker, Stash and Herder only work inside a base: the area around a workbench or fire, the same area where monsters don't spawn.
  • They take what they need from chests you're allowed to open, and never touch a chest another player has open.
  • They respect wards. If a ward keeps you out, it keeps your wisp out too.
  • They fly to the job, do it and come back. Nothing happens instantly.

Repair Wisp (amber)

Flies from piece to piece, fixing damaged buildings near you.

Level Name What it does
1 Dvergr Repairs 25% per visit, within 10 m
2 Brokkr A full repair per visit, within 15 m
3 Eitri A full repair that ripples out to every damaged piece within 4 m of it, within 20 m
  • Works at half speed during a raid nearby.
  • Rests while it rains and goes back to work when it clears.
  • Plays a soft chime as it works. You can change the sound, volume and glow colour in your own config.

Harvest Wisp (green)

Picks ripe crops and wild plants that grow back, and brings them to your feet. It never picks treasure, and it leaves stones, branches and flint alone.

Level Name What it does
1 Akr One picking per trip, within 12 m
2 Sif Four per trip, within 16 m
3 Freyr Six per trip, within 20 m, and it replants crops using seeds from your inventory
  • Works anywhere, not just in a base.
  • From an Anchor it puts what it picks into the nearest chest within 4 m of the Anchor. If there isn't one, it makes a pile beside the Anchor.

Stoker Wisp (ember)

Carries fuel from your chests to fires that are running low.

Level Name What it does
1 Eldr Fires and torches, one item per trip, within 15 m
2 Logi Smelters, furnaces and kilns too, three per trip, within 20 m
3 Surtr Five per trip, within 25 m, and it loads ore into your smelters
  • Keeps things topped up rather than waiting for them to run dry.
  • Kilns get Wood, Fine Wood, Core Wood, Yggdrasil Wood and Blackwood. The list can be changed in the config.
  • If you'd rather it left your torches alone, turn off IncludeTorches.

Stash Wisp (bronze)

Put a sign that says Stash next to a chest (within 2.5 m) and dump everything in it. The wisp carries each stack to the chest where that item already lives. Anything with no home stays where it is.

Level Name What it does
1 Tomte One stack per trip, to chests within 10 m
2 Bryti Three per trip, within 15 m, and it tops up part stacks first
3 Fulla Five per trip, within 20 m, and items with no home go into an empty chest
  • The sign text doesn't have to be "Stash". Change SignText in the config.

Herder Wisp (lime)

Takes food from your chests to tames in your base that are hungry, and drops it beside them.

Level Name What it does
1 Hirðir Food for two animals per trip, within 15 m
2 Smali Food for five, using the food you have most of, within 20 m
3 Gefjun Within 25 m, and tames that wander out of the base are led back in
  • It only brings food the animal actually eats, so keep the right food in a chest (barley or carrots for boars, meat for wolves, and so on).
  • At level 3 it won't lead an animal that's following you, being ridden or has been told to stay.
