Combat Wisps

Companions for fights and their aftermath. The Warden, Storm and Phoenix are among the strong wisps and cost like it.

Warden Wisp (cobalt)

A shield that takes the hits until it breaks, then comes back once you're out of combat.

Level Name What it does
1 Skjöldr Absorbs 75 damage, recharges in 120 s
2 Svalinn Absorbs 120, recharges in 100 s
3 Ægishjálmr Absorbs 175, recharges in 80 s, and the breaking shield throws nearby enemies back
  • The hit that breaks the shield goes through for whatever the shield couldn't take.
  • Recharging starts 10 seconds after you were last in combat.
  • It stacks with the Staff of Protection's shield.

Storm Wisp (violet)

Throws small bolts of lightning, but only at enemies already fighting you or your companions. It won't start anything, and it leaves animals, tames and other players alone. Kills count as yours.

Level Name What it does
1 Þruma 10 lightning damage every 4 s
2 Mjölnir 20 every 3 s
3 Þórr 25 every 3 s, and the bolt arcs to one more enemy nearby for half damage
  • Reaches enemies within 15 m of you.

Balm Wisp (rose)

Heals slowly between fights, never during them.

Level Name What it does
1 Lyf Heals you 1 health every 2 s
2 Hlíf 2 every 2 s, and your tames within 10 m
3 Eir 3 every 2 s, your tames and other players within 10 m
  • It waits 8 seconds after you hit something or get hit. The status icon counts down.
  • Chopping trees, mining, falls, heat and cold don't count as a fight.
  • Two Balm Wisps don't stack on the same person.

Gleaner Wisp (gold)

Picks up after a fight and drops the loot at your feet. It leaves alone anything you dropped yourself.

Level Name What it does
1 Nisse One stack per trip, within 12 m
2 Andvari Three stacks per trip, within 18 m
3 Fáfnir Within 25 m, and it fishes items out of the water
  • It starts a few seconds after the fight ends.
  • It only collects fresh drops (up to 10 minutes old), so it won't hoover up everything lying around the world.
  • It respects wards.

Phoenix Wisp (crimson)

Once a day, a hit that should have killed you doesn't. Then it goes dark until it recharges.

Level Name What it does
1 Glóð Leaves you on 1 health
2 Bál Leaves you on 10%, 2 s untouchable, and burns away poison, fire and frost
3 Líf Leaves you on 25%, 3 s untouchable, and a flare that throws enemies back in flames
  • "A day" is one in-game day, about 30 minutes. The status icon shows how long is left.
  • It can't save you from falling off the edge of the world or from drowning.
