06. Feats
Updated a day agoFeats
Fifth Edition Fantasy has 52 feats (10 new in 1.2.0). Most are passive bonuses that are always on once you take them. A few add an active key.
Getting feats
- Feat picks come with character level. Your character level is 1 plus the number of bosses and minibosses you've helped kill (up to level 12). You get feat picks at these levels:
| Character level | 1 | 4 | 8 | 12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Total feat picks | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
- Taking a feat. Press L to open the character sheet and go to the Feats tab. The top line shows how many picks you've used, for example "Feat picks: 1/2 used." Click a feat to see its description and prerequisite, then press Take This Feat. Feats you own are highlighted. The button only works if you have a pick left, meet the prerequisite and don't already have the feat.
- Feats are permanent. You can't swap a single feat. The only way to get picks back is the Reset Race, Class & Feats option (200 coins) at a trader, which also clears your race, class and subclass.
- Prerequisites are checked all the time. If you stop meeting a feat's prerequisite (for example, you change class), the feat stays yours but does nothing until you meet it again. It still uses a pick.
Prerequisites
Most feats have no prerequisite. These do:
| Feat | Requires |
|---|---|
| Ironclad | Fighter or Paladin class |
| Mail Adept | Barbarian, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger or Runesmith class |
| Battle Mage, Far Caster, Element-Bound, Spellshaper | Being able to cast at least one spell, through your class, subclass, race or a spell-granting feat |
Armor weight classes
The armor feats use each armor piece's weight (chest, legs and helmet only):
- Heavy armor: at least one piece weighs 12 or more.
- Medium armor: at least one piece weighs 6 or more and none weigh 12 or more.
Active feat keys
| Key | Feat | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| N | Heavy Swing / Deadeye | Toggles Power Attack stance on and off |
| M | Fey-Blessed | Blink up to 8 m forward |
| B | Unseen Hand | Unseen Hand shove |
| Y | Mind Speaker | Mind Speaker message |
You can rebind every key under Settings > Keyboard & Mouse, in the Fifth Edition Fantasy section below the vanilla keys.
Resilient damage type
The Resilient feat protects against one damage type, chosen with the mod's config option ResilientType (section FEFFeats). The choices are Fire, Frost, Lightning and Poison. The default is Poison. After you change it, log out and back in (reload your character) for the change to apply.
All feats
Numbers marked * grow by 6% per character level above 1 (x1.66 at level 12).
